AKB48 and Japan’s infatuation with teenage girls as sex symbols
There’s a really good debate sparking on Google Plus talking about AKB48… CNN interviewed the founder of the group, Yasushi Akimoto, and there’s some debate about the issue over on Livedoor. Read on after the break, and follow the linkage if you wanna get in on the discussion!!

They consider AKB48 being exploited …. wait till they bring the interviewer to the anime comic complex in Akihabara. (yours and Lizzi Lahoz favorite join!) I won’t say a name.. but to me, AKB48 was just transformed from anime to the reality. But the element is the same, that’s why you see girls with uniforms and surprisingly I haven’t seen bloomers! LOL

Hmm good call there. Its a chicken vs egg thing with me. Did anime start the schoolgirl meme or did schoolgirls start the anime super schoolgirl trend? Good question indeed.
